It was a bit early in the season for marlin, but we made the trek to Bermagui in the middle of December 2017, for 10 days of fishing. It was a major birthday celebration, too, and so we had lots of our family and friends around us for the week.
We also had the best weather that we’ve ever had on a trip to Bermgui – we were able to fish every day!
We got lots of Kingfish, and lots of striped tuna, and even hooked one marlin! But we weren’t able to tag the marlin, because it got tail wrapped, and broke off.
Our next trip to Bermagui will hopefully be in the middle of the peak of the marlin season – at the end of March 2018.
